Meet Our Doctor

Madeline B. Hogan, MD

Dr. Madeline Hogan is a fellowship-trained cornea and refractive surgeon and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Creighton University before returning home to Phoenix to attend medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix. During medical school she discovered her interest in Ophthalmology, where she published research and volunteered at The Foundation for Blind Children. Upon graduation, Dr. Hogan was awarded the Certificate of Commendation by the American Medical Women’s Association for graduating as the top student in her class.

Dr. Hogan went on to complete her Internal Medicine internship at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. Following this, she and her husband, Travis, moved to Dallas, Texas, for her Ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern. Here, Dr. Hogan was fortunate to gain invaluable training at one of the largest and busiest Ophthalmology residencies in the United States. She stayed at UT Southwestern for an additional year to complete a Cornea and External Disease fellowship, where she learned subspecialized surgical techniques, including full-thickness penetrating keratoplasty, endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK and DMEK), lamellar keratoplasty (DALK), refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK) as well as the medical and surgical treatment of a wide range of ocular surface diseases. She also continued to complete many cataract surgeries in her fellowship.

Outside of work, Dr. Hogan can be found spending time with her husband, who has selflessly supported her through college and beyond. They were married in 2019 and have two young daughters, Charlotte and Lillian, who keep them busy and are the joy of their lives.
Dr. Hogan is excited to bring her compassionate ophthalmic care to her hometown and looks forward to meeting and caring for her patients.
